Can you put milk in an electric kettle?

Boiling milk in an electric kettle is the same as boiling water. The only difference is that you need to pay extra attention to the milk to prevent it from spilling and messing. Just add your desired amount of milk to the electric kettle and bring it to a boil without covering it with a lid. 

It is advised that you do not let the milk boil for a long time. You should turn off the kettle when you see the milk start to boil. Another way to boil milk is by pouring a small amount of water into the kettle and placing a glass, if possible, a steel one, inside. The boiling water will heat the milk without causing a mess or leaving residue in the kettle.

Can you boil almond milk in a kettle?

You can boil almond milk in a kettle, just like boiling dairy milk or water. The almond milk should not reach the boiling point because it can burn or curdle at high temperatures.

It is recommended that you warm it at low to moderate temperatures to avoid destroying its nutrients.

How to clean an electric kettle after boiling milk

It is recommended that you clean a steel milk kettle after boiling milk to get rid of the bad smell and residues. A vinegar solution is the most common cleaning agent used to clean an electric kettle. 

Here are the steps to cleaning an electric kettle using vinegar solution:

  • Create a vinegar solution by pouring equal amounts of water and white vinegar and fill it halfway up the kettle.
  • Boil the vinegar solution until the residue is gone. If there is remaining residue, add more vinegar to the solution.
  • Turn off the electric kettle and let it cool for 15 to 20 minutes after the solution is boiled.
  • Remove the remaining scrubs using a nonmetallic sponge or soft cloth.
  • Rinse the electric kettle to remove the solution’s smell and dry it with a cloth.
