If you don’t already know, hanging a shower caddy from your shower head is ill-advised. It will wear down your shower over time which may lead to a bad plumbing problem. A great alternative to doing this is to install a shower caddy with suction cups. Some shower caddies come with suction cups, but if not you can buy the hooks with the cups.
How to correctly hang a shower caddy on tile
Follow the following steps when you want to hang your shower caddy on tiles without drilling or permanently marking the tiles.
- Step one: it is crucial to clean the surface thoroughly, so there is no dirt on the surface. If the walls are quite dirty, clean them using soap and water, rinse then dry them off. Next, use alcohol to do this and ensure that it is thoroughly wiped down.
- Step two: Run the shower caddy hook suction cup under some warm water and shake it off to remove the excess water. Stick the suction cups ensuring that no air is trapped inside as this may make them unstable hence unsuitable for hanging your shower caddy.
- Step three: if you wonder how do you hold a shower caddy in place? You may use a silicone sealant around the outside of the cups. Let the sealant settle for about a day then you may mount your shower caddy.
